Chapter 64: Preparations

I walked back into my room to change into my battle gear. It consisted of a short sleeveless shirt that only covered up to half of my upper torso and an even shorter pair of pants that was only as long as my hips were. Those clothes allowed me to move freely, yet provided good protection...... sort of. The clothes were made out of leather, but disguised to look like ordinary cloth. The shirt had two breast pockets that stored my throwing needles, along with a magnetic clip on the back for various weapons, including my Buster Sword and a massive throwing star I had picked up during my travels.

The pants were enchanted with a spell of my own creation: a magical shield that activated whenever I got hit. Again, there were pockets for weapons, although these weapons were no ordinary weapons. The weapons in those pockets were various miniaturized weapons, shrunk, again, using one of my own spells. The weapons would stay shrunk unless I broke the seal. Two of those weapons were pistols. One fired fire bullets, and the other launched icy pellets into my enemies. Some of those weapons were weapons originally built for castle size, but thanks to my strength, I could operate them alone. A ballista and a trebuchet were among those, although I hardly used the trebuchet.

Wondering how I could keep all those weapons in my pocket? The weapons pocket was enchanted with an enlarging spell on the inside. From the outside, it seemed like a normal pocket, but on the inside, there was enough room to fit a person. Indeed, I had to hide inside that pocket myself a few times. That pocket was the one on the right side. The pocket on the left side contained specially compressed potions that I drank whenever I needed. Those times were rare, as I usually managed to take monsters out without sustaining any injuries.

The pocket on the back was filled with magical scrolls. This pocket couldn't be enlarged on the inside magically, hence it made my hips look bigger. These scrolls were equipment scrolls, meaning I could use them to put body parts foreign to humans on myself. For example, one of the scrolls gave me a scorpion's tail, and another turned my hands into claws. There was also one that gave me a unicorn's horn and another one for dragon skin. These helped me save my energy, as completely turning into the Dark Dragon required a massive amount of mana, while using the scrolls used a small amount.

I tied a hairband around my hair in a long ponytail so that it wouldn't get in the way while I was fighting. I also put a special belt on. The belt was actually storage for a number of weapons ammunition, including gun bullets and throwing knives. "All set." I smiled and pulled on an elbow pad and a pair of leather gloves. The gloves were enchanted with another spell of my design. This spell made them impregnable to attacks, but I couldn't use it on my entire set because it only worked on small objects.

I walked into Alexis's room to find her strapping on her armour. She seemed to have gotten a new set while I was gone. "I wanna kick Fidelo's butt for doing that to us last time!" She cracked her knuckles. "You're excited." I smirked. She turned around. "Yeah! You're going to fight in that?" She eyed my clothes. "Yep. Sexy and dangerous." I grinned. "I don't see how dangerous." She looked over me, trying to find my weapons. I reached a hand into my weapons pocket and withdrew the two guns. "Release!" I commanded. Alexis jumped as the guns became life-size. I twirled one around my right hand's index finger by the trigger. "It's not loaded. Yet." I smiled and took a few red bullets from one of my belt's ammunition pockets. I loaded six into the gun's chamber and c0cked it.

Roy and the others weren't worried about me, they seemed to think I had gotten strong enough to take them all on alone. Which, I had. Jullian didn't seem to think I needed help too. Kon was eager to follow, but Xorten stayed behind, eyeing my pistols enviously. My Buster Sword was clipped onto my back along with the huge throwing star. I test-fired the fire pistol and it shot a flaming bullet into the air. "Waste." Kon snorted, but I caught the bullet in mid-air with a high jump and loaded it back into the chamber. "Reusable, so its no waste." I winked and sealed the pistols. They shrunk and I put them back in my weapons pocket. "All those weapons in your pockets...... Aren't your pants awfully heavy?" Alexis asked. "Wanna try them on?" I asked and took off my pants. Kon instantly turned around. Alexis tugged at my pants, but she could only pull them up a few centimetres. "Heavy all right." She huffed as I put them back on. "Not for me." I shrugged.
