Chapter 50: Interrogation The chains began to retract into the walls slowly as Silfa started asking me questions. "What's the Dark Dragon's weakness?" and "What powers does he have?" were among the questions. I bit my lips and refused to answer, but when I did, Silfa's face cracked into a evil grin and she retracted the chains more. The stretching rack was really painful...... I desperately tried to break free, but the chains were just too strong. She laughed everytime I tried to break free. "I think it's time for a change in weather." she said. "Weather Control!" she shouted out loud. Mana flowed out of her hands and into the air. Suddenly, the air started to get chilly. A snowstorm blew up inside the room! My entire body was chilled to the bone. It was so darn cold! The fact that I was naked wasn't helping at all. Silfa didn't seem to be affected and was pressing me on. "Tell me or I'll drop the temperature further!" she said. I refused to tell her and she smiled. Suddenly, the snowstorm turned into a hailstorm! Flecks of ice pelted my body as Silfa continued to interrogate me. "Now, now, we wouldn't want a vampire to bite into your big juicy breasts now would you?" she went on. I froze. VAMPIRE!?!? So William was with them! "If you still keep on like this, I'm gonna bring him here~~~ You have 10 seconds. 10......" she mocked me. "Is dinner ready?" a voice called from outside the room. Silfa replied, "Yeah, come in!" The gruesome face of William poked in the door and he remarked, "Nice breasts, hot chick. Mind if I have a...... bite? Hahahaha!" So...... William was here... This gave me even more of a reason not to die and I began to struggle furiously. "I haven't tasted fresh blood in ages!" William yawned, walking towards me slowly. He opened his mouth, revealing several sharp, pointed fangs. I started to get scared. If I didn't break out soon, William would bite me easily and I would become a vampire too! "Her blood will surely be tasty......" I heard him mutter as his fangs got closer to my chest...... I braced myself. Something sank into my chest and I felt blood flow out. Suddenly, I heard someone yell and a crashing sound ensued. Whatever was in my chest flew out and I opened my eyes. Suddenly, pain shot through my body and I fainted. "Alexis, Alexis! Wake up!" someone said. I opened my eyes and sat up. I was still naked. Ivan was beside me, looking grimly at my chest. I fingered it gingerly and felt a small hole. William had bitten me...... "Alexis, it's all okay. Ivan kicked William's butt before he could inject his mana into you." Daniel said from the door. I heaved a sigh of relief and rolled on my side. Something cracked. Not the bed. My back suddenly started to hurt and I put my hand to it. "Those wings are going to have to stay there as long as you live. They're already linked to your heart, and if we try to take them off, you'll die." Fielda said grimly. My green wings were still on my back! Daniel added, "Just do everything as normally as you can. If the new maplers see you running around with those wings, they'll probably think its a cash item or something." "How... Ouch... How did Ivan get to me?" I asked, massaging my injured wing. "BODY SWITCH!" Ivan yelled at the tip of his voice. "Keep trying!" the Dark Dragon urged him on. He continued to concentrate and he eventually felt something starting to pull him. "It's working!" the Dark Dragon shouted as Ivan's body started to fade away. He suddenly appeared next to Alexis, who was chained to a table and a vampire with his fangs in her chest. "What the...... GET AWAY FROM HER!" Ivan yelled and kicked the vampire's legs out from under it. It collapsed and turned, glaring at him. "Archaeion! Chaos Blast!" Ivan chanted. The black, white and gold coloured bow appeared in his hand and a green coloured arrow appeared in his hand. He launched it at the vampire, who moaned, "I was just about to...... AARRRRGGGHHH!". Ivan's arrow hit it squarely in the chin and it toppled to the ground, a scorch mark on its chin. The nearby Silfa was stunned. She had just pushed a button on a wall and blue streams of energy were just starting to form around the group. Ivan said, "Memory Wipe!" and whacked her on the head. She fell to the ground in a magic-induced slumber. He quickly ran to Alexis and checked her pulse. She was barely breathing, and the bite mark on her chest was bleeding. Strangely, Alexis hadn't disappeared when he got there. Ivan quickly put his hand on her wound. "Mana Clot." he breathed. Her bleeding stopped and Ivan retrieved a scroll from his pocket, punching it. A portal appeared in the air, he broke her chains with some Chaos Blasts and carried her through the portal. Her tail unmelded and became legs again, but her wings stayed. Ivan sighed. "Thats how you got back." Ivan explained to me. That was one heck of a close call. I had almost turned into a vampire! "Oh yeah, here's something." Ivan dropped a few objects into my hand. Pointed teeth? "I knocked some of his teeth out when I hit him with the Chaos Blast." he smiled. "They'll come in handy as potion ingredients, or maybe something else......" Daniel muttered, taking a fang. He disappeared out the door. "I had a workshop built while you were gone." Keichii said, walking in the door. The yeti I had picked up a few weeks ago was snoring away peacefully in a corner. I wonder what it had been doing? I fingered my wings and something suddenly hit me. "How am I supposed to put my clothes on?" I asked. Fielda scratched her head. "I don't know." she shrugged. I sighed. |
