Chapter 93: The Final Battle (Part 3) Alexis pressed the Kidousu and the Kotetsu together. They came together easily and melded together. The blade doubled its length and Alexis was forced to grasp the hilt with both hands. "I think it's about time." I sighed. Alexis nodded, knowing fully that this was the point of no return. Either we kill Ragnarok and die, or he beats us and we die all the same. We ran behind a building for cover while performing the spell to find...... Roy!? "About time my Exzas Beast awoke. The Falchion told me everything about the spell you want to perform." Roy spoke. A tear ran down his cheek. "Roy......" I was speechless. "If you really want to go ahead, I can't stop you. Just make sure you beat him, ok?" he wiped the solitary tear off his cheek. "Alright......" I nodded. Tears started to flow from Alexis's eyes. "Tell...... Mother and Father...... to be well and stay out of trouble for us...." she sniffed. "I will." Roy replied. "Good thing I also have the dimensional jump spell, eh?" a gruff voice came out of nowhere. "Falchion, make sure you protect Daniel and Fielda." the Dark Dragon said. Time seemed to slow down as Alexis started to cry. We said our farewells to Roy and turned to each other. The top of the building we were taking cover behind slid off, sliced in half by the Ragnarok's tail. Roy retreated to a safe distance and a shimmering orange barrier appeared around him. "Goodbye, Ivan, Alexis." he muttered. I wiped tears off Alexis's cheeks and placed my hand on her shoulder. "Ivan......" she cried. "This'll probably be the last chance we have to be together." I stared into her eyes. "Wait, it is you!" she gasped. "Yeah, I got my memories back, but I still think like a girl..." I mumbled. She kissed me. "Now's not the time for romance. Chant the incantation after me and don't miss a single word!" "Beasts of the ancient times, I call upon your true powers. I hereby offer my body as a sacrifice to gain this power." I clasped my hands together, forming a sign. A magic circle appeared under my feet and a weird feeling filled my entire body. I felt as though I was separated from my body. Runes formed all over my body as my clothes disappeared. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Roy turn away. Beside me, a magic circle had also formed under Alexis and numerous runes were appearing on her body. The Demon Dragon shot out of my body while the Leviathan shot out of Alexis's. They looked over us and dived back in. I instantly felt a euphoric sensation seeping through my body. My skin turned black and scaly while my body lengthened, sprouting great black wings and a long black tail. Sharp claws shot out of my fingertips and toes as my head changed form. My eyes became completely red while my nose and mouth lengthened to become a snout. My ears became slightly pointed and my hair shot back into my head. Once all that was done, my entire body grew bigger. Alexis's body had turned completely blue and scaly while her wings grew larger and her legs melded, becoming a long blue tail. Her entire body grew longer and longer until it was about the length of a hundred Taurospear spears arranged in a line. At a closer look, her ears disappeared and her eyes became dark blue coloured. Her head became snake-like and her body grew larger after all that. "Ragnarok, it's over." I hovered in the air, a few metres above Ragnarok's head. Alexis, on the other hand, was slithering around it on the ground. "For once, opponents I can fight normally." it laughed and took a swipe at me. I blocked it without a problem. Apparently, my reaction speed was faster and I was a lot stronger. "I only used 10% of my power on that attack." Ragnarok smiled. The next thing I knew, an energy beam hit me smack in the chest. I was thrown back into a building. However, I easily got back up. At a glance, my wounds healed themselves! "I guess we'll have to do this the hard way." Alexis wrapped herself around the Ragnarok's four right legs and pulled. It didn't budge. "Useless." it grabbed her with a pincer and threw her away. I caught her and put her back on the ground safely. "Thanks." she breathed and closed her wings around her head. Another energy beam hit her, but her leathery wings dissipated the energy. |
