Chapter 9: Demon Stone (Part 2) "That was a close call." Keichii said, sinking into a seat. "Yeah, I don't know what would have happened to us if the Dark Dragon hadn't come in when it did." Alexis remarked, looking at Ivan, who was sleeping in one of Keichii's sleeping bags. "How come you have so many camping supplies?" Roy asked Keichii. He replied, "I camp outside most of the time." SonicBoom49 and Quiet14 were sitting in a corner, discussing something in hushed voices. "Anyway, how are we supposed to find the Demon Stone like this? We don't even have any clues." Keichii added. Ivan suddenly woke up. "Guys, I was just talking with the Dark Dragon. It sensed something there." he pointed towards Kerning City. "Probably the Demon Stone." Ivan added. Keichii replied, "But... We'll have to go through the mob again." Ivan said, "No you don't, remember I can fly when I'm awakened.". "Why didn't I think of that?" Keichii said, slapping his forehead. Roy asked, "Won't we be too heavy for you?" Ivan replied, "Oh, I didn't think of that......". The Dark Dragon suddenly spoke, "They will be too heavy for Ivan. You can walk around the island, but that would take too long. Passing through the dungeon would mean you have to fight a couple of strong monsters. The only way is to use my mass teleport skill. I will need something to focus my energy on though." Keichii heard it and tossed a rock towards Ivan. "I think you mean this. It's a Magic Rock." Keichii said. The Dark Dragon replied, "Exactly what I will need. Everyone gather around Ivan." The whole party did exactly as the Dark Dragon said, "Ivan, you will need to Awaken to use this skill. Are you ready?" Ivan nodded and braced himself for the transformation. Once again, the great black wings and tail burst out as he mumbled a string of words, "Bound for Kerning City. Quantum space heed my words, Mass Teleport!" and hey presto, they were in Kerning City. However, they appeared underground, in the subway station surrounded by ghosts, big and little. Ivan muttered another string of words, "Dark powers within me, heed your master's awakening call and come to my aid! Dark Dragon Form!". He immediatly transformed into the Dark Dragon and started attacking the ghosts around him with incredible speed, his wings beating back and forth too fast to see with the naked eye. He finished the whole map in 10 seconds flat, mesos and strange medicine landing on the ground everywhere. Hurrying out of the subway station, Roy asked, "Why did we appear here?" Ivan replied, "Someone was messing around with the magic I casted. He changed my original teleport point." Keichii remarked, "Must be one powerful mage to change magic like that." Suddenly, two golems appeared as they were charging towards the exit, blocking their path. "We will not let you pass." one said. Apparently it was Fire-elemental, for it was on fire. The other one, an Ice-elemental added, "Our master has willed it so. Leave, or face our wrath!". Keichii said, "How are we supposed to leave when you two are blocking the exit!?" and added quietly, "Ivan, you take the Ice golem. I'll take the Fire one." Ivan nodded and readied himself. He felt an agonizing pain in his right leg all of a sudden and fell to the ground. The Dark Dragon said, "Your 1 minute transformation time is over. Make haste in dealing with those two or you will die." Ivan gave a weak roar, got up and soared into the air, swooping down on the Ice golem like an eagle. Keichii let out a battle roar and charged towards the Fire golem, muttering, "Ice, power of the North Pole, heed my words. Ice Charge!". His sword empowered with ice, he charged the Fire golem. As Ivan and Keichii engaged their respective golems in battle, the rest of the party was edging towards the exit while the golems were distracted. Suddenly a dragon appeared, blocking the exit again. They groaned and prepared to fight it. Ivan noticed the new dragon but he couldn't do anything about it since he was already fighting the Ice golem. However, Roy's eyes lit up strangely, his right eye was red, and his left was blue. Letting out a roar, he suddenly transformed into a two-headed dragon, two pairs of wings and a tail bursting out of his back. His hands and feet turned into claws and he attacked the dragon. Alexis, SonicBoom49 and Quiet14 watched in amazement as Roy made short work of the dragon. He froze the dragon with a cold breath and burnt it down the very next second with a hot flame. It didn't have time to react as it was taken completely by surprise. Meanwhile, Ivan was feeling weaker and weaker by the second as he kept fighting the Ice golem. Suddenly it pounded the ground heavily and an icicle fell from the ceiling directly above Ivan. It hit his right wing and he fell to the ground, writhing in agony. He reverted back to his original form as he fell and fainted. Keichii, who saw what happened, quickly finished off the Fire golem with a Ice charged blow and ran to assist Ivan. This time he used a Fire charge and his sword flamed red. However, the Ice golem punched his sword and it broke into pieces, having been overused. He cursed and prepared to go in hand-to-hand combat as the Ice golem closed in. Suddenly a sword flew in from the subway exit, landing blade-down in front of Keichii. He quickly picked it up, used the Fire charge again and finished off the Ice golem with a neatly placed slash to the head. Looking towards the exit, he saw a black form disappear. He picked Ivan and Roy (He also fainted after changing back.) up and hurried after the others to the exit, wondering why he always had to carry Ivan. |
