Chapter 84: Old Friends The Abyssal Pianus plowed into me like a bull. I struggled to keep it from reaching Artemis, but it was no use. The sand wouldn't offer me grip sufficient enough to keep it back. "Now, you're mine." the Pianus whispered. A gem suddenly appeared above Artemis and started to fall towards her! "Not another Akasha Charm!" I groaned. Daniel quickly launched an fiery arrow towards it and managed to break the gem into pieces before it landed on her. The Pianus roared as a small depression appeared on its forehead. "Oh, I get it." I mumbled. Suddenly, it let out another roar and about 10 gems appeared above Artemis. "That's cheap! I can't nail all of them at once!" Daniel shouted and launched four arrows at the gems. They exploded on contact and destroyed the remaining six, although not without a few consequences. The gem shards embedded themselves in Artemis and she screamed. Blood leaked from her wounds as she clutched her chest in pain. I could see a small ball of energy forming there. Don't tell me...... The Leviathan hurriedly materialized and casted a magic blocker on us along with a Ethereal spell on my left hand. I reached for the ball of energy and placed it in front of me. A large gem was just starting to form. I quickly stabbed it with the Kotetsu. Another depression appeared on the Pianus's forehead. "I will have you no matter what!" it roared. "Need to take off your clothes? You'll need them when you turn back to normal from Centurion Mode." the Leviathan suggested. "No time for that!" I groaned and grabbed Artemis's hand, pulling her to me just as a vortex of swirling blue energy surrounded us. Alexis pulled me to her and hugged me tight as a vortex of blue energy rose up around us. I gasped for breath. Strange memories started to flood my mind, one of them being a boy that looked strangely familiar kissing Alexis. An electrical shock seemed to shoot through my mind and I crumpled to the floor in pain, clutching my head. "Heh, it's been a while since I've done this. Darn Akasha Charm kept me down for quite a while with some residual energy." a strange voice echoed through my head. "Who're you?" I asked. "So, you're truly a girl now eh? Centurion Mode!" that voice said and black coloured energy started to pollute the vortes of blue energy around us. Our bodies seemed to phase into each other and our neck and tail grew longer while broad black wings shot out of our back. Our entire body grew scaly and our head grew dragonish. "Glad to see you're back, Demon Dragon." the Leviathan smiled. The vortex disappeared and we landed on the ground. "Just let me do the fighting, okay?" Alexis thought. I nodded and we charged towards the Pianus. It stared into our eyes. "He looks somewhat familiar......" the Demon Dragon remarked. "Hello, my old friend Miliandrei." the Pianus said. "No way...... Arthur!?" |
