Chapter 80: Artemis, Friend or Foe? The swimming pool that just opened near Kerning City would be the perfect place for me to collect more souls. Hence, the Pianus ordered me to come here. "I don't wanna do this......" I thought as I took a deep breath. I was in the ladies changing room right now. I stepped into a shower cubicle for a quick bath and a change of clothes. My clothes faded away to be replaced by a swimsuit as the cool water washed over me. "The more souls in my possession, the better my control over you is." the Pianus had explained to me just before I left the cavern. I turned the shower off after a while and stepped out, sweeping my hair back. "A boy's heart eh?" a strange voice rang through my head. "Yeah, so what!?" I retorted. "A boy's heart in a girl's body just simply won't do. I believe it's time for a changeover." that same voice said again. Suddenly, my vision blurred awhile and I got a warm and fuzzy feeling in my heart. "What... the heck..." I thought. Thoughts like "How's my hair?" and "How fit am I?" started to shoot through my mind. I was starting to think like a girl! "That's better, less interference from the heart." the strange voice laughed. I turned the shower off and stepped out of the cubicle after making sure my string was loose. Heads turned as I walked out the door and headed for the swimming pool. Almost immediatly, souls floated into my chest. "Also, the more souls you possess, the less time the maplers have to stare at you for their souls to be claimed." "I'm in no mood to go to the swimming pool!" Alexis protested as Roy grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the door. "You need to loosen up a bit. Ivan's strong, I'm sure he'll throw it off somehow." he said. "Oh, alright......" she grumbled and opened her closet. "Waah!" I 'accidentally' slipped on the floor and fell over on my back. The loose knot opened. The top of my swimsuit flew open and heads turned to look at me. I smiled at them. "Say bye-bye." I muttered. Their souls lifted out of their bodies and flew into me. "What the...... Artemis!?" Alexis was looking at me, shocked. No...... don't look at me! She just kept staring at me. Nothing happened. The Lodenir appeared in my hands and my swimsuit was replaced by my armour. I could feel a change in my armour though. It felt tight. "Artemis, what are you doing!?" she yelled. I didn't want to do this either...... "Strafe!" Four arrows flew out of nowhere and embedded themselves in my armour. Daniel was standing on the roof, looking sternly at me. "I see, the Leviathan casted a magic blocker on all of you." I mumbled. The arrows popped out of my armour and the wounds sealed up. "Even if you are my son, I'll kill you if you continue this!" Daniel shouted. "Oh, your son is no longer here." I smiled. "What!?" he was shocked. "He is, now your daughter." I laughed. "Daughter!?" I stared at her. "I have replaced his heart with that of a woman's to allow me more control over her body." Artemis laughed. A bolt of black lightning hit the ground beside me and I was thrown aside. Two Balrogs appeared out of the sky. "The Abyssal Pianus is like no other demon you have faced." she said and a portal appeared behind her. "Oh no you don't! Inferno!" Daniel yelled and launched a fiery arrow towards the portal. It fizzled for a second and disappeared. "GIVE ME MY SON BACK!!!" he shouted. "I can not reverse the transmutation." I laughed. The Lodenir's blade turned yellow and electricity shot through it. I shifted my feet to get a better position. |
