Chapter 67: Centurion Fusion The Minotaur slowly began to stride towards me as my wounds started to heal. "Crap..... I'm not gonna make it..." I muttered as it pinned my neck to a wall and started squeezing. "Weak." it scoffed. I felt that I could move my tail again and I started lashing it against the Minotaur's back. No effect whatsoever. Suddenly, I heard a yell from the sky and a tunneling spear of wind flew downwards, landing on the back of the Minotaur. It roared and turned its head backwards to see who had hit it and Alexis's foot landed neatly on its face. However, it merely grabbed hold of her foot and flung her into the wall beside me, creating a small crater. "Alexis!" I cried out and crawled over to her limp body. Luckily, she was still breathing, but blood was leaking from a crushed section of her leg and she appeared to be out cold. "Why you......" my eyes blazed up and mana began to gather in my mouth. The Minotaur took a step back and shifted the position of its feet. "Bring it on!" it roared as I unleashed an energy beam. "Graaaah!" the Minotaur roared as it charged towards the energy beam, grabbing hold of it with its hands. It was pushed back a bit, but it managed to deflect the beam! "Impossible!" the Dark Dragon muttered. The Minotaur began charging towards me and I quickly flew up into the air. However, it merely smiled and went towards Alexis! "Crap!" I thought and swooped down. I was too slow to reach her. It grabbed her and held its fist to her head. "Try anything and I'll bash her skull." it laughed menacingly. "Oh no....... ALEXIS!" I roared, but all I could do was hover in the air. "Now, just come with me and I'll let her go." it smiled. A black portal appeared in the air and the Minotaur pointed at it. I sighed and descended to the ground. Alexis...... I'll be back! I lowered my head to go through the portal. "Ugh......" I felt like something was squeezing me. I opened my eyes to see a massive bull holding me tight! Artemis was just about to enter a portal beside us and I quickly tried to struggle free. "Alexis!" she cried out and stepped towards us. A fist was on my head in an instant. "Don't try anything funny." what it meant was obvious. "Centurion Mode." my lips moved. The bull quickly relinquished its grip on me and leapt back to a safe distance, cursing. Artemis ran to hug me and was sucked into the spiral of blue energy. My clothes were ripped to pieces once again. "I feel weird." she commented. "AARRRGGGHHH!!!" I cried out. My entire body had begun to hurt. Apparently, Artemis's body hurt too, for she screamed. The blue energy spiraling around us began to get stained with black and became dark blue. Our bodies merged together into one and our neck grew longer and changed colour to blue. Our tail grew longer, also changing colour into blue while our wings grew broader and changed colour into blue. A blue streak appeared on our back and the vortex cleared. Ooohs and Aaaahs sounded from the crowd gathered a distance away as the vortex cleared and we landed. "Shyt." the Minotaur cursed and tried to jump into the portal. We leapt in front of him and took out the portal with a single claw. "You asked for a fight, you'll get one." our voice thundered throughout the area and we locked fists with the Minotaur. We easily threw him away and it picked up a piece of rubble to throw at us. We fired an energy beam towards the projectile and destroyed it. "No choice......" it muttered and a portal appeared behind it. "Stop! Coward!" we roared as it disappeared into the portal. The portal closed behind it. Aware of what would happen, we quickly flew back home. We landed, broke off on the balcony and fainted. |
