Chapter 61: Demons

"You have GOT to be kidding me." Ivan poked her chest tentatively. "I hope this won't go on. I don't wanna go around looking like a real girl." she sighed. A mosquito flew in the window and landed on her chest. She swatted it. "We've decided on a new name for you. Can't go around calling a girl Ivan now can we?" Roy s******ed. "I think Artemis suits you just fine." I smiled. She sighed again. "Oh all right." she answered.

That day, I went to spar with Keichii in the dojo. Artemis watched from the sidelines. "Fire Charge! Charge Blow!" Keichii shouted, slashing at my feet. I jumped up to dodge it and threw my sword at him with a yell of "Boomerang Cutter!" He dropped to the ground, dodging the boomerang sword when it flew towards him and when it came back. I jumped up above him and grabbed the sword as it came back, stabbing it into the ground beside Kei, who had no time to react. "I win." I panted. "Yeah. Nice move by the way." he replied. Artemis clapped her hands and got up, stringing her bow. "My turn." she said. "I can't fight a girl who's not a warrior! It goes again my code of honour!" Kei protested. "Oh shush up. I'm not a girl as you very well know." she answered, a tinge of venom in her voice.

"I'm not gonna go soft on you just because you're not a warrior." Kei said, shifting his foot to get a better position. I whispered, "Soul Arrow." and I felt the familiar sting in my hand, indicating the skill had been activated. "Yeah, yeah. Just get on with it. Hellfire!" I shouted, launching an arrow at Kei. It burst into flames and torched the ground beside him as he rolled to the left. "Too easy! Homing Arrow!" I yelled, focusing my mana on Keichii's back. He stepped right and I aimed right as my reflexes ordered me to. However, he suddenly put some spring into his foot and leapt to the left. A fake! I quickly dissipated the arrow on my string and prepared to go in close. I swung my bow towards his head, but he fizzled and disappeared! "I win." his voice said from behind me. The flat edge of a sword was touching my back. "Like my Illusional Fake? Heh." he smiled. If I was still in my original body, I would have easily beaten him.

I decided to take a walk later that day and retrieved a scroll from my pocket, thinking of Henesys Park. I ripped it apart and the next moment, I was at Henesys. Another Huntress appeared beside me and nodded to me, quickly running off. I headed towards the park. Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound behind me and I planted my fist behind my head. Sure enough, something landed on my fist and I rounded on the person. A Bandit was on the floor behind me with a bloody nose, which I had apparently hit. "And I thought Huntresses would be easy." he grumbled and disappeared into Dark Sight.

Suddenly, the sky turned black and a massive swirling hole appeared in a cloud. People started to scream as hundreds of massive dog-like monsters landed on the ground. Those beasts had horns on their heads and each of them had spikes running down their backs and three tails. One of them growled and claws shot out of their paws with an ominous shiick. I fell to the ground, terrified out of my wits.
