Chapter 56: Alexis Escapes

"Darn it!" I slammed my fist into the vat wall and clutched it in pain. Carmen and her entourage hadn't returned with the softening agent yet, so I was free to try and break out. I couldn't though, the vat was too hard and I was tired and hungry! The swimsuit William had forced onto me was still on me and my entire body was slimy and slippery. I tried lashing my tail against the vat wall. A crack ensued. Hope lit up inside me and I lashed it again and again. Eventually, I managed to break through and I stepped out. The girl that had brought my swimsuit suddenly ran into a wall in front of me and the syringes that she had been carrying flew up into the air. They landed on my chest and I groaned. Again, my chest grew larger. "Sorry!!!" she apologized. I could now barely fit through the doorways! She looked at me and smiled. "At least you managed to get out. Come with me! I'll get you out of here!" she said. I could have sworn I saw her chest bulge. "Stupid serum." she mumbled. "How do I know I can trust you?" I said, a tinge of venom in my voice. "Just trust me. I don't want to live anymore after what I've done for those guys...... It's okay if I die. They threatened to kill me if I didn't help them." she cried.

I soared through the skies, scanning the area beneath me. "There's a scent of death lingering in the air." the Demon Dragon explained, controlling my six wings. It directed me towards Kerning City, where I saw a tall building bustling with activity. "Fidelo Corporation" a sign on the building read. Suddenly, a Balrog appeared behind me. The same Balrog that had attacked me back at the house! "I won't let you get any closer!" it said and fired a lightning bolt straight at me. "This time I won't let my guard down." I mumbled. "Camouflage!" I shouted and my body became the same colour as the sky. The Balrog twisted around to look where I had gone and I flew to its back. "Shyt." it cursed as I bit its back. It fell to the ground bleeding profusely. I shook the piece of flesh out of my teeth and looked down at it.

"This way!" Leera called to me as we ran through the corridors of the building. "Here's the exit. I wonder why it's unguarded." she mumbled as I ran out. Suddenly, a Balrog landed a centimetre in front of me and I heard something crunch. There were bite marks on its back and I looked up. There was an extremely long black coloured dragon with six wings in the air. It was Ivan in full Exzas Form!

Alexis was gazing up at me from beside the fallen Balrog. Her body was glowing purple and certain parts of her body were...... abnormally huge. I glided downwards and landed beside her. "Don't ask." she breathed and sat onto me. Suddenly, I heard a blast and a rocket flew at me from inside the building. "Crap." I swore and took off. Alexis was barely managing to hold onto my wing roots. Her hands felt so soft! "The prisoner is escaping!" someone yelled and a turret rose out of a balcony. Bullets suddenly began flying at me and I flew higher. The rocket exploded under me and nearly threw Alexis off. "Hold on tight!" I shouted over the sound of the wind and flew off, back towards home. A rocket hit my tail and exploded. I roared in pain but continued flying. "Sorry, Iva......" Alexis fainted, falling off my back and towards the ground. I caught her neatly with my scorched tail and I gritted my fangs in pain. I landed safely beside our Perion house and turned back to normal. Alexis was barely breathing and her entire body was covered in brown scales. "What in the world is going on!?" I thought as my legs sagged and I fell onto Alexis's stomach, unconscious.
