Chapter 31: Wedding I gaped at the package laying open on the floor in front of me. There was a wedding suit inside. I turned to Fielda and uttered, "You...... you......" She grinned and motioned for the others to leave the room. Alexis walked into the door, carrying her package. She pulled me into our room and we tried them on. They were a perfect fit. Alexis's wedding dress was a long, white dress with a flower on her chest. Her shoes were white high-heels. Mine was a smart black coloured suit with a black coloured hat and shoes to match. She looked at me and blushed. I glanced at her and she looked so beautiful my jaw dropped. "Do I look... weird?" she asked, twirling around. I stammered, "Uhhh...no.... You look.... beautiful! Really!". She smiled at me and hugged me. I saw the door open a bit and Roy peeked in. He smiled and closed the door quietly. The wedding was scheduled for a week later, on June 2nd at Henesys. I hurriedly rushed to Kerning City to buy a wedding ring but Fielda presented me with a set of diamond-studded ones before I could leave the door. For the rest of the week, Alexis debated on what she should wear while Fielda got busy preparing me. Jullian was going to be the priest at the wedding and he smiled at us as he walked past. Invitations were sent to all our friends. The night before the wedding, Alexis and me went for a walk under the moonlight. "I can't believe that this day is coming so fast." she gazed at the moon. "Yeah. Me neither." I replied, holding her hand. "Ouch!" Alexis pulled up her shirt to reveal more green liquid. I removed it quickly and dripped orange potion on the holes in her skin. "I hope those won't come out during our wedding." she muttered. I nodded as we continued our walk, either shooting or slashing monsters that came too close to us. We returned to the house after a while and went to sleep. The next day, the house was in a complete ruckus. Fielda ran around us, fixing up our clothes. Roy, Keichii, Afrodita and Jullian were dressed smartly, with Jullian's being a white robe. He was the priest after all. We cramped into a few taxis to go to Henesys, and the trip took an hour. "Here we are!" Fielda said as the taxi stopped in front of Henesys Park. Most of our guests were already gathered there, SonicBoom49 and Quiet14 being just a few of them. They waved at us as we entered the nicely-decorated park and Jullian took center stage for his speech. When he finally finished it, Alexis and me walked up the red carpet, holding hands. The guests fell silent as we walked up to Jullian and he asked us a few questions seriously. We agreed to all of them, signed a few documents and he said, "I pronounce this couple, husband and wife.". The guests cheered as we put our rings on each other and kissed. We were now officially married. As we descended the stage, most of the guests shook hands with us and wished that we live happily ever after. When we returned home that day, there was another small-scale party at home. Fielda asked me, "As the head of the house, you're to make the decision regarding where you'll be living." I replied, "We'll continue to stay here." and Alexis hugged me even tighter. Suddenly, she vomited on the floor. The others gasped and Roy ran for the cloth. Alexis covered her mouth and glanced around. "No way......" Keichii mumbled. I saw Alexis put a hand to her stomach and she gasped. I put my ear to her stomach and my eyes widened. I could hear two heartbeats! Fielda pushed me away and put her ear to Alexis's stomach. Fielda had the same reaction as me and she announced, "She's pregnant!". All the others cheered and I hugged Alexis. She was crying tears of joy as she hugged me back. That night, while the others were all sleeping, I went to sit on the balcony yet again. I put my hand to my stomach and smiled. Ivan joined me on the balcony and asked me how I felt. "I'm feeling fine. Our baby came out rather fast don't you think?" I replied, smiling. "I wonder if its a boy or a girl." he said, putting his ear to my stomach again. "I can't tell." I sighed. Suddenly, I vomited again. "That's common for a pregnant woman." he remarked calmly. More of the green liquid came out of my body and Ivan removed it again. "I wonder why that keeps coming out." he said. I suddenly felt like I needed the toilet and ran in. When I looked in the toilet bowl after I was done, there was even more of the green liquid there and I hurriedly flushed it and rejoined Ivan. "Lets go to sleep." Ivan said and we went to bed, a happily married couple. |
