Chapter 22: Maplenapped "I'm home, mother!" Alexis said as she knocked on the door of the house. The door swang open, apparently unlocked. "What in the world......" I gasped as I looked around the house. All of the furniture was overturned as if someone had been searching for something. "No way...... Mother! Where are you!?" Alexis shouted as she searched desperately for our mother. Her face became white as she saw a blood stain on the wall. "No...... Mother!" she gasped. While she was still mourning, I noticed a note on a table and went over to pick it up. Not surprisingly, it was stained with blood. It read: Alexis, Take care of the others while I'm gone. Who knows, I might never come back or I might. But whatever you do, don't die, I love you. P.S: It's hot here...... Fielda "Strange...... My mum would never leave blanks lines like that......" Alexis mumbled, looking over my shoulder. Suddenly, it hit me. "Give me your sword." I said. Alexis gave it to me and I added, "Dark Dragon, heat this up.". The Dark Dragon replied, "With pleasure." and a burst of flame came out of my mouth and heated up the sword. I put it on the note and took it off. A few seconds later, more words appeared on the note. Now it read: Alexis, Take care of the others while I'm gone. Who knows, I might never come back Help me, some people have captured me and are taking me to Ludibrium. or I might. But whatever you do, don't die. I love you. I don't know what they plan to do with me, but help me! P.S: It's hot here Your brother might be able to help by flying you there. Fielda "Invisible writing......" I muttered as Alexis ran around the house, fixing what she could. I looked around and I saw a lemon and a quill on the ground. "Thought so." I thought and called Alexis over. She gasped when she saw the note. "But...... How does she know I'm with you?" I asked, puzzled. Alexis replied, "Our mother has a crystal ball hidden somewhere in the house. Now that you mention it, we'd better go look for it." We nodded and split up. I went to search the top floor while Alexis checked the bottom floor. Again, the top floor was in a mess. I quickly spotted an odd tile in the floor and drew my bow and an arrow. "Arrow Bomb." I said calmly and focused my mana on the arrow. It shot out and made a small explosion on the odd tile. I easily pulled out the now cracked tile and found the crystal ball underneath. Running down, I showed the ball to Alexis. She said, "Erm......I dont know how to use it." and scratched her head. I sighed and rubbed it to clean off some dust. Nothing happened. "Anyone home?" a voice came from the doorway. Keichii walked in and gaped at the mess. "Hello." I said, trying to fix a table. "You really need some help redecorating, ya know. Lemme help." he said, running over and knocking the table legs back into place. "This isn't my house, its ours." I pointed at Alexis. "I see...... OURS?" Keichii looked at me curiously. "We're actually brother and sister. Twins to be exact." I added, trying to fix a chair that had its legs knocked off. "Go on......" Keichii said. We spent the whole evening going into details, and by the end of the day, we had repaired most of the house, including the beds. I passed a few thousand mesos to Alexis and she went out for some shopping. She got back with a tablecloth, a few bedsheets, tools and nails to repair what we couldn't with hands alone and a lot of food. "Too late to fix anything now or save your mother." Keichii remarked, laying down on the floor. "I hope nothing serious happened to her...... Aren't you going to sleep on the bed?" I asked Keichii. "I prefer sleeping on the floor, keeps me on the guard. Besides, you two need some time together." Keichii winked at me and Alexis. She blushed and pulled me onto the bed. We fell asleep together, mumbling, "Good night." "Wake up, you sleepyhead!" I heard a voice say as I rubbed my eyes, still half-asleep. "Now where have I heard that before......" I thought and sat up. Roy was sitting beside the bed on his Relaxer. "Keichii bumped into me at wild boars last night and told me you guys were here so I came along! Wild boars bore me." he walked down, adding, "Alexis made breakfast. You'd better hurry up.". I walked down the stairs, a delicious smell of eggs and bacon wafting through the air. Alexis was at the stove in the kitchen. She waved at me as I walked down the stairs and accidentally burnt her finger. She ran around the house yelling for 5 minutes until she woke up the Siren and she put some ice on it. Keichii and Roy, who were already at the dining table, stifled laughs as an embarassed Alexis and me sat down at the table. "Be careful." I told her and checked her wrist. It was still green and scaly from yesterday. "Don't go near the water for today." I added and started eating my egg. Alexis blushed as she started on her egg. The four of us discussed our plans for today over breakfast. Keichii and Roy were going to help us save our mother. "I barely have enough mesos left for the ship though, how are we going to get there?" Keichii asked, checking his purse. A mothball came out of it and he blew it away. "My sword cost me quite alot......" he added, looking at his new Rigol sword. It was a long bar with small spikes sticking out of the side. "We're flying." I answered, halfway through my bacon. "But we can't! We dont have enough mesos!" Keichii said. I replied, "Who said we're gonna take the ship? The Fusion Beast should be able to carry all of us along with luggage.". Keichii muttered, "Now why didn't I think of that?" and slapped his forehead. We packed our essentials for the trip, locked the house door securely (Roy had put another lock on it) and went to an isolated plateau. "Ready?" the Siren asked. We replied, "Yes.". Alexis added, "No peeking except for Ivan." Keichii and Roy turned away, mumbling, "Geez......" as my great black wings and tail burst out of my back and I muttered an incantation, "Dark powers within me, heed your master's awakening call! Level 2 Dark Dragon form!" My hands and feet turned into claws, my body grew longer and changed into a dragon's and my head turned into a dragon's. Beside me, Alexis was also muttering an incantation. As I watched, her armour disappeared and her legs melded together, becoming a long green scaly tail. Her brown hair grew longer and changed colour to silver. Her hands became green and scaly. Both of us then muttered another incantation, "Inner Beasts Dark Dragon and Siren, prepare to merge into one! Beast Fusion!" Darkness engulfed us as our bodies started to meld together. Switching to Keichii's FPV...... Darkness engulfed Ivan and Alexis as me and Roy turned around, gaping in awe. When the darkness finally disappeared, they were no longer standing there. In their place was a large black coloured dragon with green, scaly wings, tail and claws. "Get on." it said and lowered its right wing. Me and Roy climbed on its back, marvelling at the size of the beast. "Hold on tight, we're taking off." it added and flapped its wings furiously. The very next second we were in the air and I pulled out a map. "Fly to the east, past Ossyria." I quickly folded up my map and held on tight as the Fusion Beast accelerated through the air. Ivan's FPV...... Alexis and me cut through the air like a hot knife through butter, passing yet another passenger ship and a black ship just about to attack it. This time, we sliced through the hull with our huge wings and flew off, Roy and Keichii holding on for their lives. The passengers on the ship gaped as the bottom of the black ship fell away into oblivion, the lower torso of a Balrog or two on it. The top half of the ship exploded, raining the passenger ship with shrapnels of bones, cloth and a surviving Balrog. It hurriedly leapt off the ship and flew off towards its home, shaking in fear. Author's note: Third time frightened balrogs come into the story. Lolz. We continued flying through the air until we saw the top of an extremely tall tower poking through the clouds. "That's Eos Tower! Land!" Keichii shouted over the wind. We immediatly decelerated and landed in Ludibrium with nearby female Cleric gasping at us. We looked her in the eyes and she tumbled head-over-heels and fainted. "Are we that scary?" we wondered as we motioned for Keichii and Roy to get off. After that, we disengaged the fusion and tumbled to the ground in our original forms. I got up and helped Alexis to her feet. Luckily no one else other than the female Cleric was around and we quickly slipped into an empty house nearby. "That was fun!" Alexis giggled, looking out the window at the female Cleric, who had just woken up. She apparently thought it was a hallucination or something as she scuttled into the tower entrance. "Not for us." Roy and Keichii said, their hair completely messed up by the wind. "Sorry." I apologized as the two of them grabbed combs from their bags and started combing their wildly messed up hair. "We need to find mother." Alexis said and commented on the other's hair, adding, "At least your hair isn't as long as mine when I transform......" The Siren muttered, "I like having long hair......". |
