Chapter 21: The Fusion Beast "Uhhh bro, don't you think its a little too quiet here?" I asked as me and Ivan walked through the streets near Kerning City. He replied, "Yeah...... Something's not right. What the...... Look out!" I quickly dodged aside just as a net trap fell on the ground on which I was just standing on. "Close one." he added and we continued walking cautiously. Suddenly, I heard strange voices coming from a nearby building. I started to walk faster. There was a sudden rsutling sound and Ivan disappeared. "Bro? Where are you?" I started to shout. 'In here!" Ivan's voice came from a nearby hole. I ran over and looked down. Sure enough, he was inside, dazed. "Hold on, I'll pull you out!" I said and put my hand down. Suddenly, there was another rustling noise and I felt a dagger on my throat. A smell of fresh blood wafted through the air. "Alexis!!!" Ivan yelled as I was yanked back roughly. The offender, a female level 58 Bandit with long hair, whispered in my ear, "Don't make a sound or I'll slit your throat." I complied and was pushed towards a nearby car. The Bandit forced me into the car and tied me up as I wondered where she was taking me. I tried to struggle but the Bandit held her dagger to my throat again. I was forced to quieten down as the car drove through Perion towards Ellinia. The Siren whispered to me, "These ropes are coated with strong magic. I cannot break them nor transform.". I sighed and replied, "I guess we'll just have to hope they won't kill me or something......". When the car finally stopped, I was forced out and felt the hilt of a dagger hit me on the head. I blacked out immediatly. "Alexis!!!" I yelled as I heard the sound of a car drive off, presumably with Alexis in it. I quickly climbed out of the pit trap that I had fallen into and noticed a note on the ground. It read: Come to the sea if you don't want your girlfirend to die, Ivan, or should I say, Dark Dragon? I gasped. The Dark Dragon said, "We had better go help her. Alexis is as much your sister as mine. I will take total control over your body. This will allow your body to stay in Dark Dragon form longer. Is this acceptable?" I nodded and braced for the transformation. My great black wings and tail burst out of my back and the Dark Dragon muttered an incantation. I felt my body grow longer, my hands and feet turn into black claws and my head turn into a dragon's. My wings flapped furiously and lifted my body up ino the air. I was watching semi-consciously as the Dark Dragon took control over my body and flew towards the sea. Back to Alexis...... I woke up inside a crate with a big bump on my head. I massaged it and tried to peek outside. Water suddenly burst into the crate and I realized that I was in the sea. AS the water level rose, I started to choke until the Siren said, "I would suggest that you transform now. Your current body cannot breathe underwater, but mine can. Are you ready?" I replied, "Yes." and choked on another mouthful of water. My legs melded together, changing into a long, green scaly tail, my brown hair grew longer and changed colour to silver and my hands became green and scaly. My body armour completely disappeared, leaving me naked. I started to breathe easier and my hair changed colour to blue. My tail and back grew fins and gills appeared on my body. "Make sure that you leave the water within 100 minutes, or else you will be forced to stay in this form forever, Alexis. Your body will completely change if you stay in the water for too long. Also, you cannot transform back to normal while underwater." the Siren added. I gasped and tried to break out of the now cramped crate. However, the crate appeared to be coated in some kind of magic, for I couldn't break out of it no matter how hard I tried. Suddenly, the crate burst open and I swam out, only to find myself locked in a small and cramped cage. "Let me out!" I hollered at the nearby guards in scuba suits. They turned around and said, "We're under orders not to let you out so stay quiet! And don't try any funny tricks with your body.". I could only float silently as the timer counted down. "Ivan...... Help me..." I thought. I tried breaking the cage bars with my hands and tail but failed. The bars were apparently coated with strong magic, making them almost impossible to break. I also tried to slip my tail out of the cage to steal the guard's keys but my tail ended up being too big to fit through the gap between the bars. "I really need to go on a diet." I mumbled. In the air...... *Whooosh* The Dark Dragon was making good use of the size of my wings as he flew past the passenger ship at near supersonic speed. A black ship ahead got in the way, but the Dark Dragon easily flew through it, punching a round hole through the hull and leaving a few dozen surprised Balrogs staring out. The ship eventually started to disintegrate as it fell through the air, the Balrogs inside running around helter-skelter in shock. SOme people on the passenger ship behind us were seen shakign their fists at us, apparently angry that we downed the Balrogs before they did. The Dark Dragon continued flying, streams of air flowing past his wings. Finally he said, "We've arrived. Get ready to fight." and plummeted downwards in a nosedive, spinning like a top. We hit the water head-on and kept diving. We reached a small cave in the side of a rock after a while. Alexis was trapped inside a small cage with two guards in scuba suits guarding her. What was surprising was that Alexis had transformed into the Siren and was naked. I regained control over my body and shouted, "Let her go!". The guards readied their daggers, went into a fighting stance and muttered, "Haste.". The next moment, they took off and I felt gashes being cut into my skin. Letting out a battle roar, I started swiping at at the perpetrators. However, they were dancing around my claw swipes easily. Being in the water wasn't helping me at all, it was slowing down my movements. Alexis shouted, "Help!" and I tried to swim into the cave. The guards were doing a good job in holding me back but I finally broke through. I fired a hot jet of water at the cage holding Alexis and broke it. She joined the battle, lashing back at the guards with her tail. Suddenly, dozens of sharks swam up from the depths, having smelt my blood. 'Help!" I yelled as Ivan fought the guards. Time after time, he tried to get into the cave and failed, black blood seeping from the gashes in his body. Finally, he managed to break through and broke my cage with a jet of hot water. I quickly swam up to help him, lashing my tail against the guards. Suddenly a shark swam up from the depths and looked at Ivan. Another shark swam up, then another, then another. The sharks kept swimming up until about a dozen of them were in front of us. The Siren said, "Good time to merge. Both of you, are you ready?". We nodded and muttered an incantation, "Inner Beasts Siren and Dark Dragon, prepare to merge into one!" Darkness engulfed both of us as our bodies started to meld together. The product was a black coloured dragon with a long green scaly tail, green scaly wings and green coloured claws. It was an extremely weird feeling. Both of us were looking out of the Fusion Beast's eyes, thought and felt like one. We nodded and charged. We were surprisingly agile in the water, having combined the flying and swimming capabilities of teh Dark Dragon and Siren respectively. We lashed out at a naerby shark with our tail and slashed another four with our claws. The sharks were being attacked left, right and center, they didn't stand a chance. After 20 seconds, a lot of fresh shark carcasses were lying on the seabed. "This is powerful......" we thought as we shot upwards. Exiting the water, we deployed our wings and soared through the air. It took only 5 minutes for us to reach Victoria Island and land on the rocky plateaus of Perion, having passed the passenger ship Ivan had met earlier. Some of the passenger were blown off their feet in a split second and they didn't know what had hit them. They looked around but could see nothing. When we landed on the rocky surface, the fusion disengaged and we broke off, landing on the ground in our original forms. I gaped, "Whoah." and looked at Ivan. "Arrrggghhh!" I yelled as my wrist hurt suddenly. I looked at it and it was still green and scaly. I was horrified. The Siren reassured me, "It'll wear off in a while. Just don't go into the water for a while." Ivan looked over at my wrist, also horrified. "Side effect huh? You'd better be careful." he remarked and walked closer to me and held my hand tightly. I blushed and turned away. He turned me towards him and pressed his lips against mine. We had just kissed for the first time in our lives. |
